In an effort to increase the community feel in Wimbledon Town Centre, encourage more leisure time to be spent in the area and reward local employees, the Love Wimbledon Business Improvement District (BID) and Coniq, the data-driven loyalty specialists, have developed an Employees Privilege Card that provides access to exclusive retail and hospitality promotions to local retail employees. Launched in July 2015 and only available to Wimbledon Town Centre businesses, the Love Wimbledon Card has attracted over 1,500 members in its first 3 weeks.
Providing local retail employees with shopping, dining, entertainment and leisure promotions, the card will offer measurable value for businesses in the area by increasing employees’ engagement, boosting staff morale and encouraging local spend. Each card, created with its own unique barcode, can be presented to businesses which are part of the BID, including retailers, restaurants and cafes, beauty salons, professional service providers and popular leisure outlets, in return for an offer, promotion or discount for each cardholder.
The programme launched with over 20 different offers, including those from Snappy Snaps, soft play area Tots Landing, Rush Hair and Beauty hairdressers, GBK, and the boutique mother and baby brand Jojo Maman Bébé, with many offering up to 30% discount.
Danielle Hall, Coniq’s marketing manager, said: “It’s a great initiative by Wimbledon BID to reward workers in the area and engage local businesses. There is a real buzz around Wimbledon, particularly with so many retailers engaged. Coniq’s loyalty platform provides Love Wimbledon with the ability to manage many different retailer offers from a centralized place. The redemption technology we provide is POS agnostic, allowing any kind of store, large or small to get involved.”
