Just before Easter kicked off, The Lanes Shopping Centre in Carlisle launched a new shopper engagement and loyalty program, the Lanes Xtra. Developed and powered by shopper engagement and loyalty technology specialists Coniq, the Lanes Xtra program will provide shoppers with access to offers and rewards from participating retailers and restaurants across the centre.
Located in the heart of the city of Carlisle, The Lanes Shopping Centre is one of the prime shopping locations in northern England. Boasting 11 million shoppers each year who range from locals, tourists and students, the Lanes Xtra program will help boost customer growth and maintain great engagement and loyalty with existing shoppers.
Coniq built the program with The Lanes and held onto a simple value of accessibility for all at its core. It focuses on the Lanes Xtra Reward Card, which is all shoppers need to be involved in the program. Once a shopper signs up they’re able to access a wide range of offers with the number of available offers growing based on how many scans a shopper performs. No tiers, no minimum spend, just simple scans that reward shoppers for what they like to do best, shopping! To get started, all a shopper needs to do is pick up a card from a till point at any of the participating retailers.
With a wide spread of impressive retailers already on-board, shoppers can redeem offers in shops such as Debenhams, Monsoon / Accessorize, New Look and Toys R Us.
Though initially launching in just the centre, the program could see a rollout to the wider area of the city. Holly Woodhead, Marketing Manager at the Lanes said: “We are already in talks with other local food and drink providers outside of The Lanes to expand the scheme to key areas in the City and provide even more incentive for our customers. Our customers are so important to us, and there has so far been nothing like this in place for our shoppers and we can’t wait to reward them.”
David Jackson, Commercial Director of the Lanes Shopping Centre said: “Marketing today means using all forms of media to reach out to new customers and also to keep in touch with your existing loyal customers and rewarding them.”
Ben Chesser, CEO of Coniq said: “We’re delighted to be working with The Lanes Shopping Centre and helping them create the Lanes Xtra loyalty program in order to reward their existing shoppers and bring in a wide range of new shoppers too. It’s been great working on a project that keeps the shopper solidly at the core of a program, we always make sure our solutions are as inclusive as possible while keeping them dynamic and powerful.”
Coniq has now launched customer engagement and loyalty programs for over 30 shopping centres across the globe, and is the market leader in providing shopping centres, retailers, Business Improvement Districts and the hospitality industry with intelligent customer engagement and loyalty solutions.
