The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional and dynamic leader for our sales team, joining the senior management of the company, to drive the sales and revenue growth at Coniq.

We’re looking for a target team leader who will also weigh in on the strategy of the company, identifying and growing revenue opportunities and leveraging past experience in a SaaS environment.

Coniq works with over 40 shopping centres ranging from large shopping centre groups such as Unibail Rodamco, Value Retail and VIA to famous Business Districts across London and further afield.

The team and the targets

Coniq is a true SaaS company which is expanding into new markets globally.

You will manage an initial team of 4 people, with room to grow the team following success. The team will be selling large-scale enterprise SaaS to the shopping centre industry, with a focus on £500k+ deals. The company has an established Client Success team to make sure the clients get great value from our technology and service, so this role will be focused on hunting new business and new revenue opportunities.

What you’ll do

You’ll be focused on leading your team to achieve ambitious sales targets, and help them to bring the biggest clients across the line:

  • Setting targets, taking full ownership of the annual sales plan and reporting progress to CEO and Senior Leadership Team
  • Managing a sales team of new business sales managers
  • Building and growing the existing sales pipeline in Europe and the Middle East, plus developing strategies for new territories
  • Responsible for training and developing our Sales and Client Success teams in selling
  • Coaching and mentoring our sales team to drive productivity and deals
  • Champion the Sales CRM system and tailor it to meet the growing needs of the business
  • Identifying and working with the CEO on revenue growth strategies
  • Grow and manage pipeline strategies t
  • Creating and identifying new revenue opportunities through new product development and new sector strategies
  • Co-ordinating our responses to RFPs
  • Setting stretch targets and motivating the team to achieve them
  • Taking an active role in closing the largest clients
  • Developing relationships with C-suite counterparts amongst our key clients

Required experience

  • 7+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience
  • Recruited and managed a team of salespeople
  • Experience developing training programs for sales teams
  • Product pricing and development of commercial product roadmap with the tech team
  • Sales CRM expert
  • Some knowledge of loyalty technology

The ideal candidate

You’ll have some of the following traits:

  • Managed a team of sales professionals before
  • Understand the enterprise sales cycle
  • Understand the shopping centre or retail markets in the UK and/or Europe
  • Excellent at presenting loyalty and marketing solutions to C-level clients
  • Excellent at building strong relationships with key clients
  • CRM expert who can champion the use of CRM to manage targets in a growing sales system
  • A second European language is a plus, but not a necessity

Technical Project Manager

We are a seven-year-old technology company who are growing. We focus on loyalty technology and the data that it provides.

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager. Someone who can help manage some of our client projects covering technical integration through a loyalty journey, always thinking of the best way to leverage our technologies to meet the client’s needs. If you are energetic and have great interest and experience in technical project management, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of existing and future projects from requirement gathering and definition through to delivery
  • Responsibility of Coniq, client and 3rd party system integrations
  • Monitoring and maintaining project progress, covering risks, assumptions, issues and decisions
  • Reporting project status using agreed tools and methodologies
  • Managing 3rd party relationships and project dependencies
  • Liaising with internal teams internationally
  • Occasional overseas travel to assist with deployments – languages a bonus

Tableau Data Analyst

We are a seven-year-old technology company who are growing. We focus on loyalty technology and the data that it provides, leveraging our leading transactional CRM. We use Tableau as our key business intelligence tool.

Do you want to work for a fast-paced agile business, are you an analytical thinker and do you like representing data in visual ways?

We are looking for a data analyst to take ownership of reporting across the business. Coniq uses Tableau internally and with clients, and we want you to help us further leverage its capabilities, alongside more classic uses of data.

There is space to grow within the role as we are always looking for innovative ways to provide insight, both to our clients and to our sales & marketing teams

You will be part of hard-working team, based in Barbican London,  in an active company looking that’s growing at pace.

Our ideal Candidate:

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a data analyst
  • At least 2 years experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL knowledge a bonus)
  • Experience with Tableau a must
  • Comfortable working with data across a range of sources, shapes and sizes, and you are confident turning this into quality information
  • Interest in proactively looking at data to pull out insights which can be fed back to clients or internally
  • Ability to stay on top of current business and industry trends around data prep and visualization technologies

The Opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional and dynamic leader for our technical team, joining the senior management of the company, to provide vision and leadership for developing and delivering technology at Coniq.

Someone who will weigh in on the strategy of the company, leveraging past experience in a SaaS environment. We are looking for an innovative technical evangelist, to drive help drive the company.

Who we are

Coniq are specialists in loyalty and customer engagement for Shopping Centres, Retail and the Hospitality sectors. Coniq’s proprietary data-driven marketing and loyalty platform provides multi-tenant redemption, making loyalty seamless across multi-POS environments. Supported by Coniq’s customer and brand engagement teams, the Coniq platform provides multi-channel marketing, CRM, sales data analysis and reporting across online and offline campaigns.

Coniq works with over 40 shopping centres, and over 700 retail and hospitality brands. Coniq’s clients range from large shopping centre groups such as Unibail Rodamco, Value Retail, VIA and others, as well as hospitality clients such as Starbucks.

The team and the technology

We are focussing on selling our core SaaS based loyalty product to enterprise customers, continually building on the core product. You will manage a total of 15 people initially, with a local team of 11, including an operations manager and development lead, and 4 offshore resources. Our technology stack is focused on PHP 7 codebase through the Symfony framework, with relational and columnless databases alongside Native Android applications.

What you’ll do

Some of the main areas where we will be looking to improve on in the coming years

Taking a monolithic PHP application, breaking it into microservices, and tailoring the programming language to each service. Scaling up our API’s and data processing capabilities as we focus on enterprise clients. Designing a framework for our Android devices which enables them to be remotely built, managed and updated.

Required experience

Working within and managing a cross-functional technical team in an Agile environment. Managing and mentoring technical managers and developers normal; C-level communications, internal and external normal; Client communications (pre- and post-sale, support and sales) Deep experience of working with highly technical applications. Vendor and 3rd party supplier selection. Exposure to enterprise level client-base normal; Strong experience within SaaS.

Coniq is looking for talented people that can help contribute to our business in multiple ways rather than looking to tick a set of boxes on a specification. We believe that a person can be successful in this role with solid software engineering fundamentals in combination with active enthusiasm for the technologies we are targeting.

Our company is investing heavily in our FYROM development capacity, and you will be joining our platform development team, working alongside our existing mobile development team in their premium offices.  You must be comfortable as part of a distributed development team, working under the supervision of a Team Lead and within an Agile environment.

Overview

This primary role for this position is to produce clean, quality code for new features and refactoring to improve existing functionality.  You will be expected to work on your own, in pairs with developers from the FYROM team, and remotely with developers based in the UK.

Our domain model is fairly complex, and our product range reflects this.  The candidate that excites us is one that embraces complexity while seeking to simplify it.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include participating as a member of the development team in the regular sprint-cycle and related activities such as daily stand-up, design sessions, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, code reviews, etc.

Specific areas of focus for this position include:

  • developing new features and maintaining the web-based applications

  • contributing to the design of new features of the platform

  • refactoring existing code to improve performance, readability, maintainability, and scalability

  • helping to triage and fix software defects

  • Developing and maintaining front end components using vanilla Javascript and jQuery

Team

This position will be a member of the tech team reporting to the Development Manager and will regularly work with the following areas:

  • QA – coordinate the identification and correction of software defects

  • Developers – collaborate with other members of the development team, local and remote

Background

There is a lot of flexibility in the type of developer that we hire, but here are the things that we think will make a person successful in this role:

  • professional experience with developing server-side web based applications

  • professional experience with SQL

  • significant experience with Object-oriented design (following SOLID principles)

  • experience with unit testing

  • experience with Git and Jira

  • experience with JavaScript

Other relevant experience that is not required but could be beneficial for this role include:

  • experience with an application framework such as Symfony or Laravel

  • experience with Design Patterns

  • familiarity with multiple programming languages

  • familiarity with queueing systems such as RabbitMQ

The Candidate

You must be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary, Agile team.  We’re a close-knit group, with QA, development, data engineer, data analysis and DevOps skills. You’ve worked with junior developers, ideally in a mentor capacity, and are used to reviewing code and participating in and leading group design sessions.

Our ideal candidate looks something like one of these (or a mixture!):

  • You’ve been a recognised senior developer in a team, and are looking to step up to technical lead

  • You’ve worked on large scale projects taking a key role in setting the direction of development

  • You’re a super-keen technologist, unable to be described as mid-level or senior or tech lead, you just want to take a good product and make it awesome

  • You should be a senior developer, but the opportunities aren’t there, and you’re looking for an opportunity to really prove yourself
